Roy Williams

    Roy was born in Montrose, Colorado, in 1962 and was raised on a farm in Bunker, Shannon County, Missouri, graduating from Bunker High School in 1980. Following high school graduation, Roy went to Missouri State University in Springfield where he obtained his college degree. After completing his college education, Roy attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While working his way through law school clerking for the Michigan Legislative Service Bureau, Roy received academic honors of being selected to the American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects, the Thomas M. Cooley Legal Author's Society and he became Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. He was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Awards for the highest grades in Legal Research and Writing, Constitutional Law, and Contracts. Roy joined the firm in 1991 upon his graduation Magna Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

    Roy has served on the faculty of Southwest Missouri State University as Adjunct Professor of Business Law. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Arkansas and has been selected for inclusion in the American Trial Lawyers Association, a national organization limited to the Top 100 Trial lawyers in each state. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Arkansas Bar, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Social Security Claimants - Representatives, the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America, the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and the 37th Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Roy has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.

    Roy has received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. His areas of concentration are automobile collisions, semi-truck wrecks, personal injury, wrongful death and social security disability.

    Roy is married to the former Shelly Tarvid of Ellington, Reynolds County, Missouri. He and Shelly have two children, Morgan Ashelly and John Roy.
