Two Die In Car Accident In Northwest Missouri

It is a well-known fact that speeding can kill. For two men from northwest Missouri, speeding played a bizarre role in the crash of their pickup truck. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the two men that were killed were 27-year-old B.K. and 19-year-old D.N., both from Missouri. On Friday evening, they were driving along Missouri 190 at high speeds when they came to a hill in the road. The crest of the hill combined with the speed of the truck caused them to become airborne. The truck then skidded off of the road and crashed into a barbed wired fence and utility poles.

One of the men was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. The truck also rolled over several times before coming to a halt. Although speed is something to keep in mind when it comes to determining the cause of a car accident, this may not have been the only factor in the case. For example, road design defects could have played a role in this specific case. Click here to read the news story about this case.
